National Centre for Sensor Research at DCU

Location: City West Campus. Dublin       Area: 20,000 sq ft

The project is the construction of an extension to the National Centre for Sensor Research (NCSR) building within the confines of Dublin City University.

The NSCR is a large-scale, multidisciplinary, sensor research centre focused on the science and applications of chemical sensors and biosensors.The NCSR is based in a state-of-the-art custom designed building with cleanrooms, synthetic laboratory and biohazard facilities, application specific project laboratories and support units.

The construction of 1600m2 of new floor area plus alterations and refurbishment to the existing adjacent buildings took place in a working university in a confined site location and FKM co-ordinated all services in addition to completing the mechanical services installation.
