Etsy is an e-commerce website providing a mechanism for people to buy and sell unique goods such as antiques, jewellery and clothing. The company currently has offices in Brooklyn, Hudson, San Francisco, Berlin, London and Toronto alongside Dublin.
The project consisted of an office fit out over 4 floors in the original 1860’s Quaker Building at 66/67 Strand Street, Dublin 1. In collaboration with Gensler Architects in New York and Kelliher Miller Architects in Dublin, FKM oversaw the creation of a modern office space, including cellular offices, huddle rooms, meeting rooms, boardroom, canteen and break out areas.
The project involved the retention of the existing structural features in the building, including original timber floors and integration of these features with the newly constructed elements. We completed the works over two phases to accommodate the client’s requirements. All the materials used on the project are sustainable in order to comply with Etsy’s stringent environmental policy.
