Role Overview

We seek an experienced individual who can bring their construction project management and commercial experience to our Fit-Out & Facilities Service Business. This is a permanent role reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

The role will provide a platform to join the Leadership team for an ‘up and coming’ and ambitious individual. The primary purpose of the role is to build Company’s brand, identify and convert commercial opportunities, and execute them into profitable revenue and sustainable growth. This individual will lead projects from the cradle to the grave commercially.


  • Support the Fit-Out and FM sales target and ensure all tenders and proposals are innovative and reflect company’s bespoke offer, and target profit margins are embedded.
  • Liaising with key Project Stakeholders to deliver all aspects of assigned projects.
  • Coordinate design, work with consultants and subcontractors to build a project plan
  • Responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of projects.
  • Responsible for the financial management of overall project from pre-construction to completion.
  • Post tender and pre contract activities: familiarisation with the tender file and assisting with preparing commercial targets for the project and involved in the Tender Interview
  • During the contract period: the procurement of subcontractors, attending pre-award meetings, documentation and schedules, applications, variation schedules, measurement, controlling accounts, payments, in-house reports, contractual correspondence, and final account.
  • During the post contract period: finalise subcontractor accounts and complete all filing and other documentation
  • Complete the project close out documentation including final account resolution and agreement for all trade packages
  • Prepare the project programme for site team, including the delivery strategy and ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Develop and Track Project Labour Histograms including weekly project indicators.
  • Develop and implement Project costs and budget plans.
  • Management of Project construction and Engineering teams.
  • To coordinate design, work with consultants and subcontractors
  • Prepare the project programme, including the delivery strategy around pre-construction and construction and ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Develop and implement Project Schedules in accordance with key milestones, coordinating with all trades and Contract Sum.
  • Review, sign-off and implement Project Quality plans and procedures.
  • Review, sign-off and implement Project EHS Management plan.
  • Develop excellent relationships with all work-feeder’s cohorts, primarily with PM’s, QS’s, Design team to ensure tender listings, partnering opportunities, and cross-referrals are maximized.
  • ‘Be’ accountable for project Execution and become immersed in the pre-Construction phase with the COO.
  • Track market developments and trends to identify, formulate, and propose commercial opportunities and business plans for new products, services, and markets.
  • Model high standards of performance, professionalism, and commercialism in all internal and market interactions.
  • Cultivate highly productive working relationships with the Management Team to ensure a profitable flow of contracts that builds company’s brand and delivers 100% utilization of natural resources.
  • Review, sign-off and implement Project Quality plans and procedures.
  • Review, sign-off and implement Project EHS Management plan.


Attributes, Experience, and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following attributes, experience, and qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying and Project Management essential.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the specialist fit out contractor sector with a track record in developing excellent relationships, delivering to plan, and being a ‘completer/finisher’.
  • Highly commercial in orientation with evidence of creating business development opportunities and successfully delivering the desired results.
  • Strongly technically minded understanding the client and prospect needs and commercially astute in ensuring company’s financial goals are achieved. It can be a straight talker when the situation warrants it (both internally and externally).
  • Gravitas to operate within external networks and with decision-makers and influence through strong communication skills, impactful messages, and personal integrity/credibility.
  • Leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower individuals and teams to achieve objectives.
  • A natural collaborator who respects clients, colleagues, and contractors and encourages teamwork.
  • A critical and innovative thinker, a robust problem-solving orientation, and calm under pressure.
  • Strong IT literacy, especially Microsoft Office and Excel Packages
